The Fortepiano

                       

This forte piano was built by Rodney Regier of Freeport, Maine in 1978, and was revised in 1985.  It has a new soundboard, strings and action.  The strings are yellow brass to iron.   It has a five octave plus one note, Contra F to G3.

                    It is based on 2 pianos by Anton Walter - one in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the other in the Nárnberg Museum.

                    The Instrument is 87 inches long, 40 inches wide, and weighs approximately 200 pounds
